Choosing my values and morals over a paycheck, I decided to embark on an entrepreneurial journey, believing that with hard work, integrity and a genuine goal of helping people, I could make a difference.
It was a turning point in my life. I found myself facing the daunting reality of being let go from not one, but two jobs as a direct result of doing the right thing rather than being complacent. Why? Because I refused to turn a blind eye to wrongdoing. After the second time, I knew I was done working for someone else.
Those experiences planted a seed. I realized that to effect real change, I needed to chart my own course. I wanted to be in control of my future and how I impacted my community. So, I set out on a new path, leaving behind the corporate world for entrepreneurship. I wanted to do things my way, leading with integrity, honesty and total transparency to those I served.
Real estate wasn't an obvious choice at first. It gradually emerged as something I wanted to try. Inspired by my background in sales and positive experience with a local RE/MAX agent, who was a good friend at the time and is now my business partner, I saw an opportunity in the real estate industry to help people. Based on this experience and the encouragement of my friend, I seized the chance to explore this new venture. In 2016, I took a leap of faith, driven by a combination of curiosity, passion and a hunger for personal and professional fulfillment.
As my sons, Jackson and Tobin, were growing up, my focus was to be very involved in their lives, coaching sports and attending school events. I wanted to be the dad for them that I never had. While some agents come into the industry with a picturesque idea of flexibility, I knew if I was going to start my own business, I was going to give it my all.
Starting anew in a field notorious for its unpredictability presented its own set of challenges. However, I embraced each obstacle as an opportunity for growth. I sought mentorship guidance and poured my heart into mastering the intricacies of the real estate market. I am very driven and work at a high level to get results. For my clients, that means I will stop at nothing to help them make their real estate goals a reality!
Over time, my efforts began to bear fruit. What began as a leap of faith transformed into a journey of success. I found joy in the victories, both big and small, with each closed deal serving as a testament to my perseverance. More importantly, it was about the impact I could make on my clients. I approach each client interaction with integrity and empathy, wanting my clients to know that I am more than just a salesperson—I am a partner in their journey, committed to their success from beginning to end and
even after.
Today, as a co-owner of the very real estate office that inspired me to get into real estate, I reflect on the path that led me here as one of perseverance and upholding a commitment to doing the right thing, always.
Through real estate, I have been able to connect with my community in an entirely new way. I have met many great people who, otherwise, I may never have crossed paths with. Serving hundreds of people on average per year, I enjoy building relationships with my clients and being their ultimate real estate resource for everything they need. I have also become an investor myself, marking yet another positive outcome from getting into real estate.
When not working, I enjoy playing a round of golf or attending concerts and sporting events with friends, traveling and hanging out with my wife, Brenda, and our boys.
